Blog Confirmations on Facebook

Posted in Chat, Virtual Assistant, Business at 2:23 pm by CMJ Office

I’m looking for blog confirmations on Facebook.

http://apps.new.facebook.com/blognetworks/blogpage.php?blogid=21617

Well, the blog feed feature is in beta testing over at Facebook. They have limited the load during the test period.

What does that mean?

It means that Facebook is only pulling feeds from blogs with 15+ fans only. As I’m new to Facebook, I don’t have 15+ blog fans listed.

So, I am asking everyone for some help. If you read or come across my blog, hop on over to Facebook where you can become a blog fan of cmjoffice.com Blog.

I do appreciate it.

Happy blogging!

VA Conferences

Posted in Virtual Assistant, Business at 7:29 pm by CMJ Office

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to attend a VA Conference?

I have.

Well, look no further than the VA Talk Show. It’s amazing how much info they’ve packed into this site.

Who’s the sponsor? VAnetworking.

There are audio feeds, articles and pictures regarding conferences. The site even has podcasts linked.

I’ve missed a few conferences. I need to place one on my calendar. Thanks for sharing the information.

WWI Records Reveal Occupation

Posted in Genealogy at 1:03 am by CMJ Office

Big find for me in a WWI record that I’ve had attached to my great grandfather in Ancestry.com for over a year! What’s the matter with me?

Honestly, I cannot believe that I never checked out the occupation seeing as how I never heard what it was.

In fact, my mother never knew what her grandfather’s occupation was when I questioned it.

So, thank you to the WWI records. I now know that my great grandfather, Patrick Finegan, was a fire fighter. How Irish can my family get? Too funny!

Remember to always check all the fields in all the records you’re researching.

Irish Records Available

Posted in Genealogy at 3:15 am by CMJ Office

The Irish Family History Foundation’s Online Research Service (ORS)
has recently made the 1901 Census records for Limerick and Dublin (South) available for research online.

These records will be made available shortly to the Central (All Ireland) search.

The IFHF is a great source of information for those researching their Irish Heritage. They now have over 1.8 million census records searchable online.

If you want a copy of the record, it is fee-based but well worth it. You can search free after you register.

I have to say that I am anxiously awaiting the release of the County Monaghan records as I hope that it will shed some light on my Finegan side.

I’m such a brat and impatient.

Come To Chat

Chat – Chat – Chat

When you work out of a home office, you tend to do so alone. Joining VAnetworking allows you to connect with others experiencing the same solitude.

Free membership at VAnetworking includes weekly e-seminars on Wednesday evenings. These e-seminars are business related and offer a wealth of information to all entrepreneurs.

That aside, an amazing thing happens once the e-seminars are over. You get to chat with everyone for another hour. It’s fantastic. Any and all questions, jokes and friendly conversations are welcome. These are the same individuals you meet within the forum.

The chats help you on so many levels. One great aspect is the fact that you get to know your peers well. They become great friends. Tawnya Sutherland has established an excellent community at VAnetworking.

So, come on over to VAnetworking and chat with us.
